Dr. Phyllis Florian

I am a fully licensed psychologist, registered in the State of Michigan (Lic. # 6301016014).

I received my Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology from Duquesne University, my Master of Arts in Pastoral Ministry (Counseling) from Saint Francis University, and my Doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology from The Michigan School of Psychology, graduating with honors.  Among my professional affiliations, I have membership in the American Psychological Association (including Div. 32 – Humanistic Psychology, and Div. 43 – Couple and Family Psychology), and the Michigan Psychological Association.  I am trained in evidence-based therapies and emerging practices.  I am also trained in trauma-informed therapies, as well as mindfulness-based interventions.

I belong to the Michigan Perinatal Mood Disorders Coalition.

I am the Director of the Kalamazoo Diocesan Trauma Recovery Program.

I have volunteer experience with the American Red Cross, Borgess Run Camp, Hike for Discovery (The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society), and other non-profit organizations.
